River Cess
River Cess is a county located in the southern part of the Republic of Liberia. It is one of the fifteen counties that comprise the first level of administrative division in the nation. Cestos is the capital city. The county has an extension of territory that covers 5,594 square kilometers. Since the 2008 Census, River Cess had a population of 71,509, making it the second least inhabited county in Liberia. It borders Grand Bassa to the west, Nimba to the northeast, and Sinoe county to the southeast. The southern part of River Cess is situated on the Atlantic Ocean. Created in 1984, the current Distinguished Superintendent is B. Rancy Ziankahn.
