Siem Reap
The Province of Siem Reap is a province of the Kingdom of Cambodia located in the northwest of the country and whose capital is the City of Siem Reap. The translation of the name is: Siem refers to Siamese, from Siam, that is, Thai and Riep translates "Fall, defeat", that is,"The defeat of the Thais". The Province limits: N Province of Oddar Mean Chey, E Province of Preah Wijía and Province of Kompung Thom, S Lake Sap, Province of Pursat and Province of Battambang, O Province of Banteay Mean Chey.
