Guadalajara is a city and Spanish municipality, located in the center of the Iberian Peninsula. It is the capital of the homonymous province, in the autonomous community of Castilla-La Mancha. It is located on a hill on the left bank of the valley of the river Henares in the highest part of the southern plateau, between the regions of La Alcarria and the Campiña del Henares.
